Calls For Entry

We're looking for photographs that get at what it means to be human. Not just faces, but the stuff behind them. The quiet moments. The unguarded ones. The tired eyes at the end of a long day, and the burst of laughter that comes out of nowhere. The way we hold each other, and the way we hold ourselves together when no one's watching.

This is open to portraits and candid work alike. We don't care if it's posed or candid. We care if it feels real. If you have work that speaks to any of this, we want to see it. Show us your neighbors, your family, the person on the bus, the stranger who caught your eye. Show us yourself. Show us what makes us human.

This is a call for the photograph that lives in the low light, in the quiet spaces between heartbeats. Send us your images that know the weight of an unlit room, your portraits of the unseen, your landscapes of the hour before dawn, your still lifes of the barely visible, your reckonings with the void through the lens. We want work that finds its power not in spite of the dark, but because of it.

Before color, there was light and shadow. Black and white photography strips a scene down to its essence, telling stories through contrast, texture, and form. We're seeking powerful monochromatic work for this exhibition at Dusk Gallery. This is a group show, and we'd love to see your strongest black and white work.
